Buick Owners Los Angeles Area

Hello everyone,

Recently became a 1st time owner of a Turbo Buick ('87 Turbo Regal). I don't have the tools or space to do any real work on the car and was wondering if anyone knows a trustworthy shop or place to get these things done. I realize that the fun of owning these cars is doing the work yourself, but sadly it just isn't an option for me at this time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

he hasnt been nice to me anymore so i know say X3. but ethier Lou or Hytech performance Sod in La puente will do good work, stay away from a guy named archie who owns GN1performance in La puente he is bad news, PS: dont ask me how i know ..

Once a month would be too much. People are busy and got too much crap to do. But if you make it less often, more will attend. I would recommend having it either every 2 months or every 3 months. And to make it better for all, one time have it in SD (ie Escondido, SD, by the beach, etc) and the next time (3 months later) have it in LA somewhere. that way its not always at one place and its not the same people always showing up. But if its like 1 time every 3 months Im sure I would be down to go atleast 3 times per year, most likely I would go every time.... and my GN is NEVER down! LOL:biggrin:

One more thing, for now I would start off slow, maybe 1-2 times per year a meeting and then increase them from there. Also I would wait a bit before you start doing shirts. Make sure you have enough people interested so the price is down and you dont have like 2-3 people come to the next meeting saying, "Hey, I want one too!" Unless you plan on making extras.... just me 2 pennies.

Thanks Reggie, I see your up in Temecula which I think would be the best spot for the first meeting, it would be sort of a half way point for most unless you can do it near Oceanside then that might be closer to the LA guys. Also the first meeting should be around some sort of holiday but obviously not a big one like Thanksgiving or anything, I want to say Veterans day in Nov would be perfect since its a 3 day weekend for most and not too many people have plans. Also a family event would be nice like making burgers at a park or something to help people get to know each other. History shows people are more friendly when there family and kids are around (lol). And if in the future the events get bigger and we do start doing them more often, rotating locations from SD and LA, then we could even have say a "REP" from LA to organize the location, food, etc when we do it up there and a "REP" from SD to do the same since the locals know all the good spots..... just more advice. :biggrin:
