Need some opinions:

I called one of the vendors to ask about prices for both front and back body fillers and other items such as guage holder, pcv, 160 thermostat.

He then ask for my credit info, so I give it to him, thinking the price was not so bad. He then tells me that the front fillers would not be in for a week and if I wanted him to send the partial order.

I told him to wait and ship it all at once to save on shiping, but that its important to call me before he charges my card.
A week later theres a shipment at my office and my card was charged. (almost taking me to zero and bouncing)

This pissed me off because I seriously wanted to use another card that I did not have at the time, to order more stuff and again save on shipping.

Then on top of that he sends the OEM front fillers when I wanted plastic, or even fiberglass. He then tells me that plastic and fiberglass are nearly impossible to mount correctly and that the OEM is much better for the front.
Is this a load of Sh*^??? or was was there some truth to this??????
I was wanting something that would last.

Sorry for your ordeal.

I have rear fiberglass fillers and front are OEM. I was told (many moons ago) about front fitment issues. Whether or not there's any truth to it i'm not sure.

Well, it sounds bad, I won't lie, but (there's always a but) if you didn't really stress the importance of the CC I can see how it would happen. The OEM does fit better, but the popular fiberglass ones aren't bad really, mine fit right up and required minimal body work, at least no more than I expected as all aftermarket fiberglass pieces need the final body prep.

Sorry to hear of your stress. This is not a Tech issue or a feedbck issue (yet) so I'm moving it to the lounge for now.

Save yourself some stress next time and wait a day or two so you can use the correct card and have room enough financially not to over charge your account. I want to say as nicely as I can that it was your timing and decision that brought it all on. :) I'm sure its frustrating though. I've done the same thing ;)

How is this not a feedback issue. The situation, (whether I brought it on or not) a vendor sent me an item I did not agree to, (OEM front fillers) and tried convincing me to keep them because they "fit" better.

now the feedback: Is this there truth to this??

It is not a feedback post because you, to your credit, did not name the vendor. If you would have named the vendor, it would be feedback for the readers and the vendor (And, would belong in the feedback forum). As it is, you are venting your frustration (OK with me :) ).

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, just trying to keep non-tech posts out of the general turbo tech forum and wanting to help you understand why I moved the post :)

Just my opinion...but I think OEM front fillers fit better than the plastic ones...from my experience. Of course other people might tell you otherwise, but next time I need to replace mine I'll be ordering the OEM ones.

Plus you already have them so might as well go ahead and put them on the car.

HTH

Be happy that your life is so good that something like this would get you SO PIS%ED! Pretty minor thing IMO! Now, say your car was stolen. thats enuf for the title of your thread. Relax, its not that big a deal really in the scope of life & cars! Have a beer & chill! Cheers!

LOL! You crazy Canadians, always viewing life from an existentialist point of view!! JK
I do concede, your right.
It was more about receiving something I didnt want and was curious to know if what he was saying was true or not?

Thanks for the perspective.

I think it's mostly the principle of how business was conducted! If people can't follow simple directions, then I'd be pissed off as well.

OEM fronts are definitely better IMO. Sounds like it was a debit card and not a credit card. Venders are people too and it could have been a simple, oops I forgot. ;)
