This was fowarded to me but it is a sad statement to say the least.:(

"Jim Neugent

A Coach In Childress, Texas
Writes to ABC Network

Jim Writes:
My name is Jim Neugent. I wrote to ABC (on-line) concerning a program called 'THE PRACTICE.' In last night's episode, one of the lawyer's mothers decided she is gay and wanted her son to go to court and help her get a marriage license so she could marry her 'partner.' I sent the following letter to ABC yesterday and really did not expect a reply, but I did get one..

My original message was:

ABC is obsessed with the subject of homosexuality. I will no longer watch any of your attempts to convince the world that homosexuality is OK. 'THE PRACTICE' can be a fairly good show, but last night's program was so typical of your agenda. You picked the 'dufus' of the office to be the one who was against the idea of his mother being gay, and made him look like a whiner because he had convictions. This type of mentality calls people like me a 'gay basher.'

Read the first chapter of Romans (that's in the Bible) and see what the apostle Paul had to say about it..... He, God and Jesus were all 'gay bashers'. What if she'd fallen in love with her cocker spaniel? Is that an alternative life style? (By the way, the Bible speaks against that, too.)

Here is ABC's reply from the ABC on-line webmaster:

How about getting your nose out of the Bible (which is ONLY a book of stories compiled by MANY different writers hundreds of years ago) and read the declaration of independence (what our nation is built on), where it says 'All Men are Created equal,' and try treating them that way for a change!

Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and stop using an archaic book of stories as your lame crutch for your existence. You are in the minority in this country, and your boycott will not affect us at ABC or our freedom of statement.

Jim Neugent's second response to ABC:

Thanks for your reply. From your harsh reply, evidently I hit a nerve.. I will share it with all with whom I come in contact. Hopefully, the Arkansas Democrat Newspaper will include it in one of their columns and I will be praying for you.

Jim Neugent

Note: Wouldn't Satan just love it if people stopped using the Bible for a crutch?
Please resend this to everyone in your mailbox.

I wonder if the person from ABC considered how many people would eventually read this e-mail! "

end times brother, just sit back and wait for it, many prideful crooked people will meet their fate as they see CHRIST as a joke & the bible as a hocus pocus story, every knee will bend before him.

Amen, brother!

Everytime I'm watching tv and there are fags on. I quickly turn the channel.

Adam and Eve NOT Adam and Steve

This is "One nation, under God"

I hate to say it but the guy from ABC has the right to say that and the guy that emailed it has the right to feel that way. This is (was) a free country for people to make their own opinions and decisions. Thats what America is about.............Freedom!

Although it was not smart for the ABC rep to respond like that, it is his right to do so.

FWIW I am Catholic and I do believe in a higher power.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I am all about "live and let live". You wanna be gay, I couldn't care less. You want to live "by the book" go right ahead. But keep the "Judge not lest ye be judged" part of said book in mind when coming down on others for their lifestyle choices or beliefs. Nobody's perfect. Just because you might think someone is tipping the scale on the sin-o-meter doesn't mean your life is so well-lived that you are without sin. And just because one person has a certain set of beliefs doesn't mean everyone else has to.

Let's say this story had been true, one guy in Arkansas isn't going to ding ABCs viewership much. Just changing the channel instead of "boycotting because you're offended" is much more simple.

Last I checked, nobody has rights protecting them from being offended. Get over it, move on and quit bitching about things that you don't agree with, especially when they don't really have a direct impact on your personal life. That's the way I see it anyway.

thank you, spot on. heres my post. i very rarely speak about GOD especially on a forum such as this, but this is the one time it will happen so listen good.

Anyone that posted using GOD as justification for hate on anyone is one twisted mother f'er, thats like saying gandhi would have promoted the middle east war (currently over a million dead btw in just the past 10 years, but I must digress). Worst of all to anyone who posted against gays, let me guess none of you have been EVER involved with ANY gay committing a illegal crime against you, your family or anyone else you know. If so I'd love to see the documented report, you should have one sense homo's are so bad right? I mean I have hate for criminals, but that is because they cause crime. You hate homo's because a book (written by sinners aka liers) told you too, do you see the light yet, no, let me try again then. Using god's name to hate wtf is wrong with you? STFU and sit the F down before you troll and shill his name into the mud more then our world's history has already, proven to us through religious murder/bigotry/hate sense man walked. You think that a book MADE BY MAN (sinner) is enough justification to live your entire life HATING a GOD'S creations (homosexuals are god's creations too). What a perfect circle to run around in.....like idiots......"the book said so, the book said so" well who wrote the book to being with hmm?

using God as justification for hate has lead to the #1 single most reason for death and murder in our worlds history, but facts like that don't bother you gay haters, you don't care about anyone dying unless its someone you know. facts about murder arn't enough, they dont do anything for you, obviously homo haters like believing in the lies of a sinner (bible being made by man who is a sinner), before believing in the truth of facts.

God and his relationship with each creation of his, is a 1on1 relationship, it's internal not external, you don't get extra points for going to church imho. NOTHING should have enough power to influence how you feel towards GOD and your 1on1 relationship with him, not even a book made by sinners called the bible. theres my rant, and if you wanna hate on gays, O DEAR LORD let me count the ways in which you can better spend your hate. if you need help making a list of things to waste your hate on before actually spending it on homo's, I would be very glad to make one.

Every man is responsible for himself. To think one lives without sin is foolish.
Television is available for everyone to watch. That's why I turn it if I don't like it or think it's appropiate.

I don't think Jim Neugent was "coming down" on anything. He was sharing with ABC the beliefs of the Bible. Keep in mind...American television sets a standard in households. A lot of children in this country are rasied on television. It has a big impact on our society.

this should help educate those who like their SMALL TINY MICRO BOX they call a life "you can change any time you want" YouTube - Bill Hicks & George Carlin

no need to watch, just listen, learn and be quite, you don't even have to say sorry, no apologizes just change, its pretty simple. just like changing the channel.

Darkcyde,

God created Satan too.

You are correct, every man will answer for his sins. We are not supposed to judge one another. That's not our job. While living more like Jesus, one would not have time to. But that is very hard to do. Try it sometime. There's a reason the gates to hell are wider than those to heaven.

I believe those who commit hate crimes on minorities have issues with themselves. I can sit here and say I don't like to be associated with people that live a particular lifestyle or have a different color skin and stay away from them. But, harming/executing them is on another level.

I sort of agree. It's just that I have noticed how some programs try to show how "normal" some of these things are. If someone wants to be gay fine, be gay. I don't care. Just don't expect me to think of it as normal...it's not. I wouldn't want my children's impression of it to be as it being normal either.

I think this threads subject matter has shifted enough to move it to the political forum... If you believe in a higher power, great for you... everyone needs some type of hope to keep them going. If you believe in having another man pound your intestines in and you call it "love", have at it... My issue is that If you as heterosexual parent are trying to raise your children with a certain set of values (BTW, not based on the bible but based on phucking nature and reproduction of the species) you should not have to deal with leftwing a$$holes from the media pushing an agenda down the majorities throat. Just as I'm sure a gay doesn't want to hear that their lifestyle is wrong, a heterosexual parent doesn't want to hear that it is right... It's a damn two way street of respect and understanding, I'm tired of having this **** rammed down our throats by the idiots who decide what is politically correct and what is not, BTW they are winning the Psychological campaign that had been launched during the 90's. There is now an entire generation that has been programmed through school teachers, television, and MTV to believe that deviant behavior is ok and you should be proud of it.
