I am talking soft parts: O-rings, orifice tube, schrader valves, etc. Anyone got a list please? I hate re-inventing the wheel.

Mostly o-rings and an ofrice tube. Might as well replace the condenser while you're taking it apart. And get the green R134a o-rings.

Look on craigslist for r12. Pretty easy to find. Sometimes for 8 or 10 bucks per can if your lucky.

a/c schrader valves are different than a tire valve.
tire valves use a rubber seal and will not hold the high pressures required on an A/C system.
a/c valves use a type seal that will withstand the oil in the a/c system, and will seal against the
higher pressures found in a/c systems.
I have used a tire valve in my a/c system, and sure enough, it leaked later on.
I bought a pack of "a/c only" schrader valves, and a slick tool to install them, and now have no leaks!

This is good info, thanks! If there is more, please don't be shy.;)
