SoCal Newbie

Hey all,

I'm fairly new to the area and have recently acquired an 86 GN. My old 86 T-Type was stolen in 1993 so I've always had a need to replace her.

Anyway, I'm working on a mini-resto and need some advice/guidance to a reputable shop in the area. Also, looking to meet other GN enthusiasts in the area as well.

Anybody have any recommendations for paint and body in SoCal (San Diego area)

Hi. Benny's auto body on University Ave. (around the 6200 block)has painted a lot of cars for the San Diego local Buick guys. Nice work at good prices.

My car is at Benny's right now. Just some front end repair. Benny is a geat guy to deal with though. I can't wait to see his work!

BTW, what do you guys estimate a full repaint should run. I don't need a museum piece as this car will be driven Minimal body work (about 20 or so minor dings).

I keep getting quotes of $5k and up.
I also got a quote for around $2500 (base/clear/cut and buff) OEMBlack...but the most recent work I had done there (on another car) is going back next week They were ok but not up to my standards...

Any other suggestions are welome.
