I wanted to expiriment w/ making my own alky kit. I have just about everything figured out except what kind of nozzle to use that will atomize the alcohol. Where would i be able to get it. I'm was considering using an actual windshield washer pump. Any suggestions or criticisms would be appreiciated.

When I was reserching my system, I narrowed it down to four possible nozzles- NOS, Aquamist, oil burner type, or misting nozzles(like used in produce dept to keep veg fresh). I chose oil burner type which I modified by putting 1/8 pipe thread on the nose. As far as pumps, most DIY systems(mine included) use some version of a Shurflow pump. Most of the above nozzles are meant to operate on a min. 50lbs pressure which would rule out w/w pumps.

Dont use a windshield washer pump, that is what they did 10 years ago.

Get a great pump like a Shurflo (getting one if my pump ever dies), or use a Bosch in line fuel pump. They were found on many types of Ford P/u's in the 90's.

For nozzles NOS nozzles work fine. I was running 21# tonight with 0 3rd gear knock. That is with a .036 jet.

thanx guys, I'll start looking into those type of nozzles and pumps. I appriciate you not letting me find out the hard way that that wouldnt be enough pressure.
