So tonight I went and saw the movie United 93, It was a powerful film.

I went with a buddy of mine and saw it in an AMC in San Diego. The house was pretty empty and everyone was quiet for the whole film.

On my way out of the theatre I notice a group of about six 20 something year old men exiting the same movie. The peculiar thing about them was that they were all very middle eastern looking(like without a doubt middle eastern looking), dressed about the same, casual conservative, and as I listened closely I heard them speaking what sounded to me like Arabic.

I think I was the only person to notice them, they were pretty low key and I kept an eye on them as I was pretty hyper alert due to the film. As we walked out of the movie house I noticed them talking and cracking a couple of smiles. We walked in the same direction to the parking garage and on the way out they split up into two vehicles, two of them got into a really clean stock looking eclipse.
I found this to be so odd that I went ahead and took down the plate #.

Am I insane? Xenophobic? or is this something suspicious? Ive never seen a group of middle eastern 20 something year old men anywhere before in san diego. Much less under those circumstances.

As I type this I realize I sound very paranoid but man... it really just looked suspicious to me. Its 2 am and I cant sleep thinking about it. What do you guys think?

Don't worry about it, if you saw how many individuals of middle eastern descent there are here in the Northeast you'd probably have a panic attack if only 6 aroused your suspicions :) If they cheered during the movie when the terrorists took over the plane, you might have had cause for concern, however.

I would say nothing to worry about.

If ur thinking they were there to see the movie and honor those spineless cowards that took over the plane, then I think u were mistaken. It is my opinion that if they were in fact a "sleeper cell" U certainly would not see them all together, and especially not all at a movie such as that. Those Hi-jackers were sucessful because they were low-key and unfortunately very smart. Those days are gone now(we hope), that being said that was a very good spot in my opinion. Whenever I go anywhere, store, gas station, dinner with the wife and kids, Im always lookin around for anything suspicious but thats just the nature of my occupation.

I would not worry. Nothing real suspicious there and reall no terror activity. I am the same way. After 18 years I still inspect everyone and everything around me. I alwasy try to put us where my back is alwasy at the wall and I can have the best tactical advantage. Seems it never goes away. Good news is that we are allowed to CCW in Ohio now. I wonder if Ohio swapps with Kentucky?

phew...

Yeah, some guys watching a movie is hardly indicative of anything and a real cell would never be together like that. You guys are right. I think I was just really pissed off after watching that movie.

I tend to notice alot of things. My father was an MP in Vietnam and he is the epitome of paranoid observant. So I grew up with a guy who would spot a suspicious character a mile away and allready have the glovebox open ready to grab a weapon. Maybe not the healthiest environment, but its certainly kept me out of nasty situations since I'm always thinking about worst case scenarios. 5 years in the Corps myself probably didnt hurt either.

It kind of pisses me off because when I'm out with some friends and I start getting bad vibes from surrounding ppl, my friends usually are completely oblivious, even to my not so subtle hints that we need to make an exit or be prepared for something.
