Sounds like a siren.

It started today. The turbo sound has a siren sound also. The sound coincides with the turbo sound,so it must be coming from there.

I've got a stock turbo with 86k. The last time I checked it,it was tight.

Should I be alarmed?

If so,looking at my signature,which turbo is recommended? I'm shooting for high-10's eventually here.

Don't run it again. There is obviously a serious problem. I bet there are things chewed up and destroyed in there. Maybe lack of oil.

The last time my old 70 sounded like a fire engine, a gasket had gone through the exhaust wheel. Looked like a mouse took a bite out of every fin. I had issues making over 6 psi. Pop off the downpipe and get a flashlight....

Happened to my stock turbo at about 117,000 miles. Turned out to be a chipped fin...it only made a siren noise under boost . So, I ran it for awhile until I bought a new turbo.

I had a weird noise once when i had a i/c hose that blew off PARTIALLY and it only made noise while under boost..... hopefully its something like this and not a major issue with your turbo.

I feel like my turbo sounds like this once and awhile, but I can't drive it to check it out now :/ maybe once I close on my house I can rip it off and check things.
