Hey guys what is the best spark plugs for our cars and what do you have them gaped at ? thanks

depends what your car is running. i have always had good experiences with acdelco and autolite.

stock to light mods - AC CR44TS gapped @ .035 or autolite 24

if you are running around 12.50 or so with boost at around 20-22psi i go with
AC CR43TS gapped at around .032 - .035 or autolite 23

if you are faster than that with more than 22psi i've heard people have good luck with the AC CR42TS with a gap of .032

i've never used any other plugs so i don't have an opinion although i've heard most say that these cars don't like platinum plugs at all.

Ive always run the AC R42TS on my car gapped at .030. Im pushing 24psi boost and never had a problem.

Can someone explain the difference in gapping in layman's terms, for instance if I'm running 25lbs of boost what will the difference be between a .035 and a .032 gap...thanks

Simply put, the higher the boost level your running the tighter the gap should be; just like others have stated. The tighter gap keeps the spark true under high boost. Our ignition systems are not the greatest, high boost can and blow out the spark at the factory specified gaps...

NGK UR5's here, gapped @ .032, the car ran horrible at any higher boost than 22 with them gapped at .035.

Have tried AC's, Bosch, & Autolites, seem to have the best luck with NGKs.

Ditto With Roc87- NGK UR5's gapped @ .032 picked up 1/2 a sec. Would pop and miss at WOT before till I changed the gap. Runs like a cheeta now @ 24.5 lbs boost.:)

NGK UR'5 gaped at .032 i have run up to 28 pounds with no problems. i have run AC Cr42TS as well and i like the NGK better
