Spark rattle with new alky chip....

I did not install the street chip,still have alky chip in. 16-17 psi good no ping rattle, Reinstalled RJC boost controller about 20psi. I heard a few pings but no "rattle" like before. None @WOT,maybe the RJC controler ramps up the boost to fast while the motor is sligtly lean? Just an idea.

You may try upping fuel pressure a bit as this will fatten the whole range. If the WOT is too rich, then drop some fuel out of the chip through its adjustments

I'll try that. I am using an extendar chip currently 45-46 psi line off. O2's at idle 830-850ish.

Having the pre DEC 05 system wouldn't be affecting this?

Only if there is an issue with the pump developing pressure. Only way I can tell is to have the pump in my hands and run it on the bench. Typically if you press the test button and the car bogs, it should be ok. Understand late 05 we went to a different style valve in the pump becuase of inconsistancies with some we where getting from the mfg.

At that time came the pressure sensing change on the kit as well, the cosmetic change, and the way the systems were setup.

Car does bog,but it's not immediate. I will send an email over the weekend for pricing on the update. I would like to send the pump in.:wink:

Before I pull the pump off...

At max setting it took 3 seconds to bog,at 1/4-1/3 (my box has no numbers) it took 12 seconds to bog.

The solution was buy the update for the kit,no more rattle after a week of beatings!!
