87 has how many mileage digits on the speedo?
If it rolls over, what is then shown? o_O

It says you win!!!! The door chime goes off and the glove box drops open full of cash!

You mean the odometer? It has 5 and when it hits 99999 it goes back to 00000...

I think that's what you're asking. Also that's why half these cars show odometer tampering on carfax.

Just put some electrical tape over it.....because it doesnt matter :ROFLMAO:

Why does the trip meter show mileage but the odometer doesn't? is it broke? did somebody roll it back?

Mine reads in kilometers:rage:
That's because you have a canadian car. Mine also has the km scale. You can do like I did and buy an adapter which will enable you to read mph off the kmh scale…and the odometer will read in mph .:)

Claude.

GM never did believe these cars would have lasted more than 99,000 miles. Didn't bother adding the extra digit. Just look at the money it saved in eliminating the digit.

GM thinks different nowadays.

it was common to have 100,000 mile odometers back in the day, since it was almost unheard of for cars to last longer than that and they wanted to encourage people to trade them in for new ones before the odometer rolled over... the feds started mandating million mile odometers in the late 80's or early 90's sometime, so that's what all the new cars have..
