splicing air temp sensor wires

I am moving the out side air temp sensor to the plenum. Can I just splice the wires to extend to the lengh required, or is that some sort or special wire you shouldn't cut into?? Thanks Larry

Larry, i'd solder and heat shrink your connections . It's alot better than using butt connestors. I think i saw somebody sells an extension harness. You might check with Casper's.
