Sponsor banners blocking the search feature

Are any of you experiencing this? Some of the new sponsor banners at the top sometimes block the search features. It's when you click on search and you get the drop down box to type in your word. It's hidden behind the banner.

I am running IE7, XP SP2

The K&N banner is up now. The search feature does not work with this, at least on my pc.

Yep I noticed it to. I think it's the google adsense in the way though. I just click the advanced search which you can still reach and then search from there.

I too had this issue last week with another ad blocking the search feature, try going to another page and seeing if the box will drop down over the next ad.

yes it probley because nobody clicked on the sponsor sites before and know they are tricking us to click on it. i have clicked on it like 10 times trying to do advance search

When does that block take effect? The K&N is still on...Doesnt bother me any though.

Hmmm. I don't see any banner ads as my Norton Internet Security includes a banner ad blocker. I just see text Google ads & they dont block the drop down search box.

thank GOD. it was really gettin on my wick. though, what are non buick advertisements doin on the board? it wasnt always like that was it?

There is some basic html/flash coding that will make the banner stay in back. I had a similar problem on a site I did. Its probably the Flash of the orbitz and K&N that is causing the problem. Flash tends to want to be on the top level, and when you have drop down menues you have to force it back with one little line of code.

I need to do a search on headliners but can't because this issue hasn't been resolved. Has anyone heard if they are working on it?
