Spring isolator question

Did a search but couldn't find much on the topic. I'm putting in new control arms with the moog 5658 springs. Do I need the coil spring isolators? If so, do they go top, bottom, or both? It looks like with the thickness of them, it could affect the ride height quite a bit. I guess I'm concerned about ride quality with squeaks, creaks etc if I leave them off.

Brian at gbodyparts has new gm isolators.I used new ones because my old ones were all smashed. he sells them in sets front and rear

Thanks for the info. Electrical-taped them to the top.
