Stock exhaust color

Hi all

Quick question...

I've seen GNs with the exhaust pipes painted black. There is a car on ebay with 6k on it and the pipes are black painted up to the muffler.

Is that stock aka factory?

they should be just matte stainless from what I've seen.

This is exactly how they came. The pipes and muffler are a junk quality galvanized mild steel and painted to within a couple inches of the muffler

All my dads came in black and he ordered them new.

Yes that is correct and some even had 'fixture checked' stenciled on the muffler facing the rear diff.....
