ok, this past weekend was the first time i took my gn to the track. it is a 26,000 mile car and it is all stock! the only thing i have is drag radials, and a test pipe. no here is my question, the first run i did was a 13.9. and then the second was a 13.75, and the last one was the most impressive, i thought, at 13.6. now is this what a stock gn should be turning? or is this abnormal? i thought that the cars from the factory were only running 14.1?

Well, traction, and the cat were two major restrictions. I would buy a new walbro fuel pump though before you even think about going WOT again though. It sounds like you may be able to hit high 12's if you put some 116oct. in, bumped the boost to ~22psi., put on slicks, bought a race chip, and adjusted the fuel pressure accordingly. But the first things on the list should be: Scanmaster, Walbro 340.

ive heard alot of people talking about these scanmasters. what are they, and what do they do? isnt it just a tool to see whta the cars computer is thinking?

Those are some very good time for a very stock GN! Very strong car you've got there. I would also agree on swapping out the stock fuel pump for a walbro to prevent things from going boom at WOT. A scanmaster, is prob the most userfriendly scan tool, and is very helpful in tuing the car. It allows you to see exactly what the computer sees, so you know when something goes wrong, or where improvement can be made.

Great times, get the scan master and a new fuel pump and adjustable regulator. Then order a new chip and you should be moving pretty good. What was the mph on those runs?

Nice times for a stock TR. What was the trap speed and 60ft.?You can run 12's with far less than 22psi and without slicks with only a few mods. ;) With a Racetronix kit, Cottons-93 chip, test pipe, Postons air cleaner base lid, convertor switch, 17-18psi of boost and 235/60 DR’s I went 12.9@103mph. I agree with the others…if you even plan on touching the boost, get at least a Scanmaster to watch things more closely. If you hear these cars audibly knocking, it may already be too late.

Stock GN's when new ran 14 sec. Stock to include 215/65/15 tires and a cat in place.

the runs were #1. 13.903 @ 98.41mph w/ 2.144 60'

#2. 13.764 @ 98.23mph w/ 2.009 60'

#3. 13.668 @ 97.90mph w/ 1.921 60'

I think you're OK

Your times are almost the same as mine, our cars look to be pretty closely setup. I'd say you're right where you need to be, but do get a scan tool. - BB
