Have the heads off my 59K engine.
I decided to take a peek at the valve seats....
The exh seats look like they have "acne". I dusted 1 w/ fine lap compound, and found the seat and face width to be pushing .120". It is also all the way out to the margin.
The intake fared a bit better. It's a bit <.100, and also at the margin. It's finish its a bit better.
I'm a bit surprised the leak down was as good as it was... In the area of 10%.
Most certainly time for a good valve job...
Suggestions for seat location, widths?? This is a street engine.
