 Just added some mod's, basicly my sig, and my tach shows in the red at idle. before mod's, I blu the trans, causing an over-rev condition. no codes Any ideas?
TIA

The stock tach. is useless and inaccurate on most cars now after 18 years.

Use the scanmaster one or get a good aftermarket one.

Components in the circuit go out of spec. and cause bad readings I believe, Caspers Electronics may have a fix for the stocker.

Thanks salvage, I'm aware of the limitations of the stk tach, it's more for reference, I use the T-link, but that isn't as convenient as the stkr. I'm trying to save up for a new paint job & tires right now, so the gages are on the back burner.
any other suggestions?

Definitely talk to casper's. I believe you have to send them your tach module and they re-calibrate it and send it back to you. Casper's 847-247-0484

Did it work relatively well before?
Did you connect the 2 connectors behind the alternator? They should not be connected.

Scotty, there was no problem until the trans went and the eng. went over rev. :(
