stock turbo stall recommendation

I will be upgrading my turbo ta a ta-60 but i would like to get the converter first would pats 10" 3000 stall be ok with a stock turbo untill i ugrade my car has some mods,3 single shot,fuel pump,ported elbow,race chip,alchy,dutt neck,injectors,kn.

I am about to install a TE61 on a stock long block GN. I installed a Vigilante 0-pump converter last week..... but am still temporarily running the stock turbo. I love it. I believe the stall is 3200-3400 per what most folks around here have been saying. If you are going to retain the lock-up (highly recommended IMHO on any regularly street driven car).... the bigger stall only makes it spool that much faster.....which is a blast on my currently near stock car.....and the lock-up eliminates the converter slipping on the interstate..... kinda like having your cake and eating it too.

I guess at some point in the depth of modifications.... some lag is necessary just so you could drive it in the rain :biggrin:
