Ok...Before I list these on ebay, I wanted to run them by you guys first:
I have Two (2) stock garrett air research 84-85 hot air turbo's, complete. They include the elbows, compressor housing, center section, and exhaust housing, all together. I got burned on ebay with one of these for 275 bux. Guy said just clean it and bolt it on, but he neglected to mention it needed to be rebuilt, badly. The other turbo spit oil into my motor when the car used to run, however, it is not in as bad shape...there is little play and needs to be rebuilt, but looks good and has only minor shaft play (i think that was the reason for the oil leak).
Long and short of it is, I need the money back from ebay, and the seller got neg feedback, but wont budge with a refund...He says I could have swapped it with another one...That would mean that I have at least one good one tho? Well, these two turbo's that I have both NEED to be rebuilt, and one is wirewheeled to a nice shine, the other is completely stock. Pics are available upon request...for the lot with shipping anywhere in the lower 48, 275.00...I will only ship USPS, and it will be insured for 275 at no extra cost.
As I said, but turbos need to be rebuilt, but they are complete, and look to be ready to go once those seals are redone. I need the 275 due to the loss on ebay, so if you want to split the pair, one will still cost the same, and the other will be junked if noone wants it. I figure maybe with the two, someone will have better luck than I, or at least mroe $$!
