Street/strip 2004R trans

This is a BQ valvebodied 2004R street/strip trans. Which is an 84-85 hot air combo, and a true GM hi-po valvebody. Works VERY similar to the BRF. WOT upshifts are right at 5200, perfect for a stock cammed car. Correct wiring for a 86-87 combo as well as speedo gearing.

Awesome street/strip trans...
Heat treated/welded drum, rollerized gear train, billet servo, and -NO- trans brake in this one. This is a lock up trans.
The unit also has 550 and 400 boost valves, rev kit, Alto wide red band, billet anchor pin, and extra clutches throughout. The pan has a drainplug installed. And more!
This trans will have nice quick/crisp shifts. (no headbangers) This unit needs to be used with a 10in or similar converter. Can be easily converted to non lock up if prefered.

Still going strong in my 87 GN for what two years now Brian? Numerous t-brake launches. Has excellent manners for a daily driver, and then balls out when you put your foot into it.

Bump for anyone looking for a quality tranny. I have been thru at least 4 trannys built by my local yokels over the past 15 years. None held up. Now I am making over 500HP and my Brian Hofer transmission is still making my dash rattle on the upshifts after 3 years of service. Money well spent folks. Do it once, do it right.
