I know this is common but it pissed me off alot when i got invovled...i was on this website in school today, and i got ridiculed(sp?) about liking buicks and people continued to say " arr....rabble rabble....corvettes are better, so are mustangs, and especially vipers..." makes me angry because their idea of a buick is not a sleeper v6 thats a beast, but of an old grandpa car that can even get out of its own way...

i had my cousin who was there with me and likes buicks too, and he embarrassed them and told them off after showing them the videos off of turbobuicks.net...yea they shut up...but it still pisses me off how arogent these people can be when they call themselves "car guys" and dont even know about the legndary grand national

I would suggest letting it ride. Don't bother trying to makem understand.

Besides if you convert them to buicks there will be less to go around.

Our cars in general seem to come under the radar with most folks.

My wife hates my Buick and keeps telling me to sell that POS! lol
I forgive her though because she has an excuse, she's a woman.

My boss on the other hand, has been giving me a bunch of trash
talking about my Buick, telling me it's a crappy old GM and his
twin turbo 300z has got 400 hp and is faster than my old boat.
Well, I met him at the dragstrip on Saturday and clicked off a
12.23@108 on my first pass. He quickly shut his pie hole after
that like he knew he would be toast if he lined up against me.
Then I dialed in one more lb of boost and went 12.11@108,
he could only muster a best of 13.08.
There was no interest on his part to line up against me on
the track. NUFF SAID!

Believe me I'll make sure he doesn't get off easy, he was still
a little sore today so I let it slide (I like my job).

Great idea with the time slips! I'll have to post them in the
crapper.
I'm also going to suggest he might want to add a 3rd turbo
to that Nissan before he thinks he can outrun my Buick.

My fun is just beginning...it's easy pickins now.

My best friend's Dad is a Ford guy who probably would bleed Ford Blue. Took him for a ride in my GN when it was running pretty good. Probably high 12's. "Thats all this things got" was his reply. "My Clevland in my Torino would whip this thing" Invited him to a local spot, but he wanted to go to the track. OK........

Best he could do was high 14's. Mine ripped 13.17@111 spinning BFG's and 12.17 on slicks. Had some fun with him after that. Told him I was going to lower the boost on my wife's GN so he would have a chance............

Now he knows about the Buicks and tells all his buddies to look out for my car on the street.
