Stupid ipod

Got sister an ipod for Christmas as her other one bit the dust. Now it wont update. I have installed the new software, the ipod is on, and the computer just wont read it. I have never had a problem with mine, so do you have any ideas?

There is a way to reboot the ipod and start over. My son's did the same thing and he had to look at the Apple site for answers. He did eventually sort it out.

Which Ipod is it? I got the new shufle and am having similar issues. it says it cant read the software. I have another ipod that works perfect. I say bring it back. Thats what im doing.

you can take any ipod to the apple store and they will fix it usually for free. or give you a new one
