I got that "STUPID" worm virus file name: WORM/KLEZ.H it got in my computer so BEWARE OF THIS! It deleted some of my files on my hard drive. DON"T OPEN ANY E-MAIL IF YOU DON"T KNOW WHO'S IT FROM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will noticed alot of e-mails comming just deleted and run you virus scanner. AND MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE YOU VIRUS SCANNER TOO!

I've gotten two odd emails yesterday and today, one from "jason" with the subject of "Re:KENNE-BILL please try again", and the second email from "suganoja" subject titled "some questions". Both came with attachments that I didn't open, anyone else receiving the same stuff?

Yes very simular. I get the usual e-mails form friends so I open it..The the computer freezes up and the hell broke loose :(

If you see anything unusual DELETE it!

I just got 5 e-mails from different people. Some from people here in Hawaii, but all of them were around 124K with similar subjects (like "fun game" and "humour game") I just deleted them because of the 'size similarity" between them.

I hope I dont get one of those emails from oceanic/ time warner cable like the last time....(one of those warning letters) most of these had no message content... thank goodness for the preview feature....

Rob, I didn't e-mail you from my hotmail account, actually I didn't e-mail you at all. Someone is using my account:mad:

John, its the virus doing this, its a real pain, lucky for me I didnt get curious, some of the headers lead you to believe its for you. but I also got one from myself???? (another account) just be careful....
There was yours and a guy named dan fischer from kimberly clark corp, those two I recognized..... and almost opened...

Its a worm virus so what happen is I open the attachments containing the virus then it forwards it to whoevers on my address book and then it works its way in my operating systems. And thanks for the link Rob I fixed it last night took me 2 hours :(

2 hours? ouch! that sucks....at least its still fixed....

Speaking of viruses, I had one that made the Icons run from the pointer. that one pissed me off! and drove me nuts for two days...

Fricken virus.....

Yeah, I got hit by this crap too. I apologize if I messed anyone up in the process. A computer nerd friend of mine sent me a symantec program that cured me. If anyone needs it, will be glad to send it to you. Rob, I recognized some of those addresses, they're from my address book. Again, sorry! If I ever catch this little **** who wrote this virus................

And get this, the virus reconfigured my mcafee shortcut on the desktop to launch the browser and connect with www.lop.com. I wasn't physically connected to a line, so it couldn't connect. But the damn browser "furiously" tried over and over to connect anyway. So I checked out www.lop.com. Looks fishy to me.

I got one too from one of you Hawaii guys I think? I think it was from gman33 or something like that. Anyone here go by that one?

Yeah, that's me. One posting above. Then again, it could've grabbed it from another's address book too. Sorry if I caused any problems. Like I said earlier, find me this Klez guy and bring him to me........I'll fix him. Will have him monitor my fuel pressure gauge during a run..........under my hood!

Just to let you guys my comp got messed up, it was too late to fix it, too many files was missing had to re-install windows and everything all over again and the SUCKS! My friend installed windows ME and its pretty good its like 98 but better! Well everything should be back to normal by tonight.

I spent all of sunday nite and all of monday day and nite fixing the mess. Reinstalled winME. Dumped ALL of my addresses in outlook. Definately a wake up call for me for more serious computer habits.

ME has it's good and bad stuff. It's actually considered a win 98 platform. Adds a lot more flexability to 98 functions. System restore is pretty cool too. The only bad thing I can think of is ME's incompatability with some older programs. Certain Norton utility options don't operate (unerase). My older Mcafee with Superdat updates sometimes brings up the blue screen of death. Upgrading antivirus and utilities would probably cure that. And I've seen in isolated cases, Norton and Mcafee don't get along well together in ME. Kinda like living with two girlfriends. :D
