Almost two years ago I leased a 2013 Chrysler 200s black on black with their nice "painted pocket" rims that I get compliments on almost daily. (they are pretty nice rims) It was a newer concept to me, & I fell in love with it. After that I started to notice the other makers offering the same option in their rims. I said to myself wow, this painted pocket thing is really catching on fast. I can't blame them, it's pretty nice looking. I've also noticed about a year or so ago, that people wanting all black cars is really catching on too. I've noticed a trend in people painting their chrome appointments black. Even their wheels. I gotta admit, that looks nice too. (guys... plastidip IS NOT PAINT!! ITS FOR TOOL HANDLES!!!!)
Then, like 3 week ago, I realized something.

We've had this 30 years ago lol. Looks like the 84 GN is the car to have right now lol.

all i gotta say is if you like the 13, you'll love the 15. But that's off topic.

these cars were ahead of their time in more ways than one.

Fords had "painted pockets" in the Magnum 500 wheels in the 60's and 70's.. Mopar used the same wheels, and Buicks of the time used a very similar wheel..

I know those wheels. They're not bad, but I don't consider those pockets. That's darn near the whole rim lol.

And I know I won't love the 2015 200. Chrysler really dropped the ball in my opinion. My brand new 200 developed a horrible front end wobble past 70 mph, a horrific brake rotor wobble braking anywhere over 65, the cruise control ALWAYS adds 10 mph when I hit resume, the gps is DEAD wrong every single time it attempts to lead me somewhere, it tells me to turn left when there IS no left to be had, and it doubles as a time machine because it finds shit that hadn't existed in YEARS, the transmission is bi-polar and mumbles to itself aloud while trying to find a gear, the throttle response will get you killed pulling out into traffic that's any closer that 3/4 mile away, the bump steer is just insane and almost got me killed twice, the "auto tint" rear view mirror never tints at all, the mpg is the same as my souped up supercharged 3.8 liter, (you'd think that if you dropped 2/10ths liter worth of displacement and lost the supercharger that you'd gain mph. nope.) it squeals like a banshee while applying the brakes while in reverse, and has a pulley squeal while at idle.

Considered an AWD Charger after this to soup up a little and drive year round but after owning this for 2 years I'm done. D U N done. Chrylser will get not a dollar more of my money, unless it's a classic Mopar from 1974 or earlier. I mean come on. Do you actually test drive these cars for more than a mile before full material release? This car shows me that there is ZERO testing before release. It's thrown together and sold and they're clueless about the shortcomings.

The older 200 is the same car as the 07-newer sebring they just renamed it.
the 15 is a brand new car.

A little different. Different engine, different ecu, different ecu security procedures. All I know is that it sucks, and I can imagine most other Chrysler vehicles were built with the same philosophy.
