Greetings, I am wondering what dimensions I should consider for a sub box that will fit on the shelf in the trunk ('87 Regal). Don't know if I am going with two 10's or two 12's. Also, any good web-sites for instructions / guidence on construction?
Thanks,
Alex

You need to figure out how much room you want to give up and how much volume you want. A box in which the woofers will work in less than 1.5 cu ft per will fit on the package shelf. Any larger and you will be out into the trunk. That being said a box for most 10's will fit on the package shelf easily. A box for some 12's can be made to fit on the package shelf, but as I mentioned you will need a sub that works in a small enclosure. If you just want some lower frequency re-enforcement a good single 10 or 12 will fit the bill.

http://www.sounddomain.com is pretty good site, lots of info. HTH
