I actually had nightmares about about this... sad to see my bad dreams coming true. Whatever you do, let it sit outside and dry out before you do anything! Oh and desiel in the cylinders through the spark plug holes and change the fluids.

I'm pretty sure most states have flood damage titles for cars so you can sell it whole.

You can save it if insurance won't pay what it's worth. Just get to it soon and clean and lube EVERYTHING. Gonna take time and work though.

Unless, you just want to have 3,500# of junk on your hands, you need to change the fluids, and get it running/drivible. If you just let it sit, there'll be nothing left worth anything. Having sat as long as it has, with water in the tranny and engine, may have already killed them. If it's not covered in your insurance, then you need to get busy to salvage whats left, IMO.

We restored one submerged from Hurricane Isabel, salt/brackash water destroys ALL wiring, you will have to replace all of it inside and out. By the time the car dried out, the connectors were green and falling apart. Sorry to hear about your loss but I wouldnt consider trying to save it.
