what would you guys recommend to do for suspension and was there a difference in performance. Also will suspension components from a g body work on our cars like rear lower control arms?

Lower rear control arms are the same. I had some pretty decent 60' times with my stock suspension, but the car wasn't consistent. After I put in an after market torque arm it seemed to hook up every time.

The g body lower control arms are the same but may need different bolts and bushings. Same for me as Dave... my car did well on worn out stock suspension then I upgraded. I run TRZ chrome molly double adj lowers and pan hard bar with Strange double adj rear coil over drag shocks (not using coil overs yet still stock rear springs) and Lakewood 90/10 drag struts up front. Still stock torque arm and my car dead hooks with consistent 1.48 60' times off 16psi trans brake launches. The TRZ bars are very noisy on the street though since they are hard mounted...no rubber or urethane bushings.

I personally like the Metco billet lca's with the relocation brackets.

anyone using a single or double airbags?
if so what psi in each?
did it improve launches much

I have both. I didnt run anything in them last outing with a 1.54 60ft. No squating at all. Our suspension is designed to lift under load, so the lower control arms and torque arm is doing all the work.
Pic on the left is a worn out suspension not working properly on a 1.55 60ft
Pic on right is a good working suspension with aftermarket goodies.

I can't tell which one is which.

Shot original front struts, front sway bar still installed, stock torque arm, rear Strange dbl. adj. drag shock w/coil over option (coil overs not installed yet) stock rear springs, TRZ chrome moly dlb. adj. lower control arms (stock location), UMI adj. pan hard bar, 295/55-15 (28") MT drag radials (~15-18psi), no sub-frame connectors, 16psi launch off StageRite manual trans brake (no spin), stock rear, stock gears...1.48 60ft. Car now has Lakewood 90/10 drag struts up front...sub-frame still sitting in the garage floor with new Currie 9".

Gotta love trans brake launches.
Dave didnt you cut 1.48 on foot brake?

Yup...I couldn't ever get past 4-5 psi at best before it started pushing, never tried the e-brake thing. Once I got used to the trans brake there is no better feeling!

Raybestus pads are the trick.
I had a TCI transbrake in my 92 Z28 a long time ago. Fun for sure.

Yes I did. I was launching about 12 psi. Boost was on it's way up as the lights were turning green. Hit 20 psi on one launch, but the tires didn't hold. 5858 turbo is awesome. My converter is pretty tight too

These cars love to leave hard. While air bags are a great addition for the Buicks, I'm not sure I'd worry about it on the TTA as much. Still might be worth it, but I'd see what you can get it to do first.

Here's 799 on stock rear suspension and 255 BFG DRs with a 1.62 when it finally broke into the 11's back in the day while my buddy had it. It's got a 9" with a bunch of Spohn goodies out back now, should be fun off a trans brake when I get it going again :D

What kind of 60' numbers are you guys expecting with trans brakes?

Same as you without lol....I did consistent 1.48 60' before blowing 4-5 teeth off the stock ring gear. A 1.38 would be awesome but I'm hoping for ~1.40 after I get new motor going and my subframe connectors and 9" rear installed!
