I put 36mm bars on two cars and used the stock brackets but used different bushings

What year of TA did you use?

Sent from my iPhone using Turbo Buick

I beleive the brackets from the F-body will work, usually you pull the bar with the brackets/bushings for the swap.

Usually yes in this case no...bar been off car for many years its harder to loose a bar but wasn't hard to loose the brackets:(

hello; Can you still get the stock brackets? Mine got tossed long ago.
IBBY
PS; Hiway Stars has them

Tony,
I got a set of new Energy Suspension brackets laying at the garage I don't know what mm they are I believe they are for stock GN swaybar.
What is that 1 1/8 ??

The brackets from the F body cars will NOT work on the G body, the hole spacing is further apart. Its an easy install leave the end links for last, bolt up the brackets by hand, and tighten all 4 bolts little by little, then install the end links then tighten the brackets to torque specs.Bracket to frame 24 ft lbs,(car must be with its weight on its wheels when torqued)-- link nuts 13 ft lbs.

I have some here FYI:http://turbobuick.com/forums/thread...36mm-sway-bars-radiator-hold-down-etc.389416/

Stefan "Trixsixpa" how much u want shipped for the sway bar brackets I'm pretty sure they will work with a 36mm bar from reading Gnsteve's thread all I need is 36mm bushings with stock Gn brackets...

Gnsteve I didn't see brackets for sale in your thread...I guess I should have asked:)

hello; Go to Hiway Stars. Brand new GM like 25.00 and they have some nice end links also. I think the GM ones is they way to go. I just ordered them. I've gotten Energy Suspension ones but I never liked the brackets.
Do what you want.

Let me get over to the garage I think the bushings are 33 or 34 but I'm sure the housings will work. I think they have grease fittings on them too.

hello ladies and gents; I got my new GM brackets and I fitted the 36mm bushing to them and the bushing sticks out about a half inch. Any bushing bracket combo I've gotten in the past the bushing was level to the bracket.
any comments, no way the bushing is going to squish that much.
