FOR SURE!!
My first 400 was modded, courtesy info from Don Wang, so I never had that problem. My bud's GER, [junk], converter took out the BBC crank. A combo of the junk converter, and the hi psi, did the deed... That converter swelled up like a "poisoned pup", and went in the trash..

Interesting! My son's car wiped the thrust bearing (383" stroker, T-350) but it had a good TCI converter with no sign of ballooning. Passing it on, THANKS!

NM...I see it's a T350. Not sure the same issue would be seen w/ that trans.

Me either, but the converter appears to be fine. This was a long time ago, maybe '05 or so. The engine is out and the car has been sitting (marriage and a full-time job) since then. I've always been curious as to why the thrust went...
