A little searching goes a long way on this forum.... Dr. Frank.. has alot of good specific information, and the following threads should supply you with most of the info you need...

Also, pay particular attn. to member UNGN's experience.... he road races g-body's and also has very good info you should know before going into this...

Personally, I think it would be a heck of alot of fun, especially in a f-body, IF you can make it work/drive PROPERLY, and stay together.....

Excellent info Bmackinnon! Thank you for finding those!

What I dont understand is why having a manual trans creates such controversy!!!! really, why do so many of us argue about it? you would almost think were talking about BOVs..... LOL another can of worms!

no.... a stick isnt faster than an auto in this case,
no .....a stick isnt probably the greatest thing for the thrust bearing,
no ......a stick isnt an easy swap and cost money

yes..... a stick is alot of fun.

FUN..........sounded like a good enough reason to me to swap it!

 A.j.

THANK YOU!!! Great info Bmackinnon. I asked this same question about a year ago and got nothing for it. Glad to see someone was finally listening.

I thought about this today and it occured to me that if you use an 84-85 intake and cut the top off, and add a doghouse, the original inlet would be the perfect place to put the BOV and route it back in front of the turbo to keep the boost level.
