I have an AC 9 1/2 nlu, 2800-3200. I want to go back to a lock up. Will a PTC 10" 2800 spool this turbo? I don't have the turbo yet .

yes it will . i had that turbo with a stock convertor and it did fine, upgraded to an old orange stripe convertor and it spooled very quick, almost zero lag

I guess that depends on whether the car is primarily street driven or raced. I personally don't think 2800 is enough at the track with good traction as you will most likely experience some lag. On the street the lag may keep the tires from going up in smoke when the boost comes on. When I had a stock converter lag time could be measured in seconds.

If a TE60 turbo acts like a TA60 (don't know for sure) then I agree with what RJ Reynolds has said. Those are nice times RJ.

Yes a 2800 stall should work with a TA-60. You may loose some spool-up vs the AC but lots of guys are using the 2800 with the 6262 with great results.

Thank you Muzz,

Dusty,

Doesn't the 6262 spool faster than the TA60? My buddy had that turbo with a 2800 L/U converter. I made numerous passes in his car and it seemed to spool as fast as my TA60 with a 3800 non L/U.
