We did it last year this way, lets just get MORE CARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel that the flavor of the Alky class shoud be streetable cars & I agree that you will never get everyone to agree with the rules. So make the rules very simple, NO rules. If Mr. X thinks his 5,000 rpm converter & overheating external fuel pumps will work on the 25 mile cruise that's great but no jump starting the car, no golf carts dragging it around etc. You have 3 passes to average together so go set the world on fire. This will also Give the guys with the great running 11 & 12 sec pump gas cars something to shoot for & showcase there combo's also. Something for everyone & i bet you would get a good car count, something that's missing in a lot of the buick classes. I've never run alky but would certainly buy a kit and try it to run in a True Street format. I'm sure i can get it to run OK?? in 6 months.

Last year we had one car we didnt let run. It was a 69 Camaro weighed 3200-3300, nitrous, and a 5 gallon fuel cell. I didnt car bout the nitrous, the weight and inability to fit the 10 gallons did. So there are situations that the playing field needs to be level'd.

Just like the Hybrids.. would it be fair to allow a 2700 lb car with a Buick engine? The other is to allow 4.1's non-stage. This is why some minimal rules are needed.

I agree Julio, there needs to be a minimum weight that's indicative of a TR or TTA that's not all cut up with carbon fiber this and fiberglass that. It must be able to hold an amount of fuel that one could go for a cruise with and not have to stop every 50 miles to refuel. If you care to sit on a t-brake at the line and heat the tranny up...who cares! Lastly, if it started as a production 3.8 liter motor (109), no matter how many over bores you have done...again, who cares.

I will have my new ride in this class next year...prolly not very competitive, but I'll be there. Once we finish my dad's new motor...that will be a different story:)
