tailshaft sideplay

Just wondering how much tailshaft sideplay was allowable. I noticed mine has about 3/8"! of side to side play which seems excessive. I noticed it after removing the tranny due to cracking the front pump during installation, not sure if this is related. TIA

I believe they are all (200r4 wise) like that. The driveshaft yoke rides in a bushing to control that movement. If it's not so severe as to leak due to the bushing being wiped, then it should be O.K.
