Hello everyone, I am trying to tune my car and would love some input. here are some numbers from idle and cruise. I will post WOT numbers in a few days when it stops raining.

Idle:

TPS, 0.41v
MPH, 0
RPM, 850
ECT, 188.15
O2, 719.28
O2cc, 43
MAF, 7.00
IAT, 139.64
INT, 112
BLM, 118

Cruise:

TPS, 1.45v
MPH, 41
RPM, 2800
ECT, 177.35
O2, 910.20
O2cc, 149
MAF, 106.00
IAT, 137.48
INT, 128
BLM, 128

I'm using TunerProRT to data log, but I can't figure out the IAC numbers. They seem WAY too high, reading around 156 steps when cold at idle, and down to around 78 steps when warm. I'm not sure if those are the true numbers or if there is an issue with the TunerPro ADX file.

75 is way out to lunch should be around 10 and 25 op temp idel which could be cause of blm and imt bieng out to lunch whats all done to the car also

Here are some numbers from a previous day, before I changed the spark plugs. P.S the spark plugs i removed were SOLID black!! fouled bad with fuel, some were even wet with fuel.

TPS: .41
IAC: 83
ECT: 178.35
MPH: 0
LV8: 47
RPM: 875
INT: 128
O2 mv: 1047.84 (WHAT???)
BML: 118
O2 cc: 5
MAF: 6-7
IAT: 137.40

Key on, engine running after 15min test drive:
TPS: .41
IAC: 51
ECT: 176.00
MPH: 0
LV8: 42
RPM: 825
INT: 128
O2 mv: 890-905
BML: 118
O2 cc: 5
MAF: 6
IAT: 137.52

At idle my vacuum gauge reads approx 17"hg,
My TPS reading on TunerProRT shows .41v at idle, 4.12v WOT.

If my CAM sensor was out 180, what would the symptoms be? would it even run?
My car has a rough idle until it warms up, and even then it's not the smoothest.
I've checked for vacuum leaks and have found none, This is a new engine build.

Any tips or help would be great!

The engine in a stock block, 212/212 cam, TE60 turbo, 42.5# injectors, Turbo Tweak chip for 93 octane, 16# boost, FMIC, 2.75" exhaust, (still stuck with the stock downpipe for now).

Iac is to hogh try turning it down (turn screw clockwise ) get er around 20 to 25 get tps adjusted to .42 key which is aprox .44 to .46 running then re check data shoulld be much better if youd be 180 out in theory youd be poping and missing bad if running at all

I tried adjusting the throttle screw, but i'll try it again, It seems like there is not much adjustment left.

You don't have much IAC adjustment left because you are going the wrong way. Tighten the screw inward to open the throttle, this will lower the IAC counts. Don't forget to set TPS also.

Ambient temps are? IAT's are within a couple degrees, idling or cruising...
Where is the air being picked up? [137*+ seems high at 40mph.]

I realized that after reading blackdeathtrap's coment about turning it clockwise. I had thought that the IAC numbers went up as the throttle blade opened.lol, thanks for everyone's help. I haven't had a chance to make any adjustments, hopfully I can get to it tomorow evening.

That vortexbuicks link is an interesting read, thanks!

The IAT sensor has been relocated into the turbo up pipe, maybe thats why the temp differences? I was under the understanding that the IAT is used only for extreme cold, and is otherwise ignored. The ambient temps when i recorded those numbers was around the 68* area.

Ok, I got the IAC and TPS set, took it for a run. New numbers here:

Idle:
TPS, .45v
ECT, 180.05
IAC, 20
MPH, 0
RPM, 800
INT, 128
BLM, 118
O2, 959.04mv
MAF, 5.00
IAT, 138.56

Cruise:

TPS, .67v
ECT, 180.05
MPH, 46
RPM, 1550
INT, 112
BLM, 118
O2, 950.16mv
MAF, 20.00
IAT, 136.40

Part throttle accelerating... low boost:

TPS, 2.82v
ECT, 181.40
MPH, 24
RPM, 2475
INT, 128
BLM, 118
O2, 914.64mv
MAF, 103.00
IAT, 138.56

10psi blast:

TPS, 3.43v
ECT, 178.70
MPH, 58
RPM, 2975
INT, 128
BLM, 118
O2, 017.76mv
MAF, 103.00
IAT, 134.96

The IAC adjustment brought the INT up at idle, and the car seems to have a much smoother idle. Now the next problem is to figure out the lean condition under boost. I am using the TT chip 5.7, and have made no adjustments to the fuel or timing since resetting it after the IAC adjustment. I am using the TTA fuel pressure regulator, pressure is at 43psi at idle as Turbo tweak reccomends. Anymore hints or suggestions would be great! Thanks for all the input so far!

your tps in your 10lb pull is only 3.4. If you were going Wot should be 4.4-4.6

Sorry, I should have posted earlier that I wasn't at WOT throttle yet. I backed off because I saw the extreme lean O2s and the car was bucking, and popping.

One thing I did wonder though is if my fuel system is delivering enough volume. I upgraded to a edelbrock 255l/hr pump, and am in the works of making a hotwire kit. Is this pump big enough, or shouldd I be looking at a walboro 340, or similar?

As I said earlier, I still have lots of adjustments through the TT chip. I would assume the WOT fuel adjustment for all gears is where I should start. Maybe add 10% fuel and see if anything changes?
