One website I was on said it was the Beatles. It did not say the name of the song. Hope that helps.

It is the Beatles. The song is calls "Carry That Weight". Paul McCartney wrote it and it's about his struggle to keep the band together. I'm not sure what album it's on though. I have two "Greatest Hits" albums with songs from1964-1972 and it's not on either of those. It might have come out later.

The whole album kinda flows into the next song - that was actually two songs golden slumbers and carry that weight, changed when the guitar got lively.
You should check it out, shouldnt be to expensive to get the whole album and then you can hear it the way it was meant to be...I need to buy a new CD player for the GN...
