Here is an odd question, my dad used to have some old Stanley tape measures that had a metal case and on the backside of the blade it had several useful tables of things like nail size, decimal conversion, rebate size etc....does anyone know where to find some of these. A new one is fine, but I haven't been able to find one yet...perhaps I haven't looked hard enough ...

Thanks, nate...

i've never seen one like that... seems like something that would wear off rather quickly if it was used every day by someone that makes a living building stuff, so it would ultimately be rather useless..

It doesn't wear off as quick as you may think, they do wear out though. Back then though the cases were metal and you could buy a refill for it, unlike most of todays that are plastic and you throw it away when it wears out. Here are a couple pics from an Malco tape measure from the 80's with a couple shots of the info that was printed on the back of the blade...

Thanks
Nate
