This board is just fine and TBS.COM is just fine also. I get a kick out of the guys that hate that board but still go there and read.

The fellows that frequent that board are good people and yes there is a little horseplay that goes on, but I guess it just insults people to read it. Take a look over at Yellowbullet.com in the kill or be killed section and that will let you know just how conservative our boards really are.

Go on the Viper boards if you want to see people rip you to threads. TBS.com is like skipping through the park compared to that site. I never seen more foul language and disrespect to others until you have been on that site. Especially if you own another car other then a Viper. Chitown is also a blast to read the call out section too.

You're right about YB but the community there is so large that it doesn't matter. Or is there a community there?

Alot of the racers on YB were at Cecil for some T&T prior to the Showdown.

There are a select few on the other board that corrupt the good guys and bring them down with 'em.:frown: :frown: :frown:

I would say to a degree you are right. Over on YB you have Ford, Chevy, ect all under one house. That board is more or less a racers board where brand loyalty isn't apparent, so community might be a poor word to use for that board, but my point is issues that erupt online don't sink a forum or a community.

I have read some crap over there (YB.COM) that has made the worst of threads over here and Turbobuicks.com childsplay.

A little smack talk or disagreements doesn't destroy a community, the hate is what is taking the ship down. To blame either board for the issues is not fair, they are tools used for the purpose and TB or TBS is entirely suitable for it if one chooses to do so.

I am not sure who the select few that corrupt TBS are, I have met some that are accused of that and I don't think they are bad people. It seems the majority of problems are from those who stick their noses into things that don't involve them, and then it spirals out of control.


Overall if anybody wants to know what the major problem going on in our community is called RESPECT. That is all but gone between many and I think that there must be a way to get that back but honestly I don't have a solution that will not cause somebody to have to eat some crow and two stubborn people won't do that.

I have read some of that crap over there. I think I made the mistake of clicking on a link that brought me over to a bunch of guys convincing themselves that they are better than everybody in the world, especially if you do not have a Viper.

For those of us that are old enough to actually remember growing up in the 50's and 60's, the country and our society will NEVER be the same.
I really truly feel sorry for young people having to grow up in modern times (90's and onward).

I had a great time growing up in the 90's.....but I guess I didn't have much to compare it to first hand

I love this place. I've been on here since '99 or '00, I forget. I lost my old name after I took a timeout from Buicks for a few years.
I've met some great people from here in the past few years at the Buick races

This board is moderated just right imo. I'm a super moderator on a local car board that is of a pretty decent size. It's a free for all over there....not very PG to say the least. I like this place because it's more civil then a lot of other boards I'm on.

This forum is full of good people. You will have a few bad apples from time to time, and in business dealings(like the feedback section) there is always two sides to a story.(no defending any one side)

There is a world outside of this forum, with TR owners that are also awsome people, but just not internet people. Overall, the community is full of great people.

Rich, I don't go over to the "other" site very often. I usually am on this sight for technical info to learn and to share. I like how questions are usually answered rather than getting 2 pages of jokes for replies. I admit I do check out the "other" site to read about fistfights at events that I cannot afford to attend, I have neither the time or money.

Rich, it's actually been 2 seasons I think I have not been down to Etown. I hope to see you there soon.
