I just got a 200-4r rebuilt from a reputable tranny guy. It shifted like crap. I did a search on this website and disconnected the electrical plug to the tranny to see if this would solve the problem. Problem solved tranny shifts firm, I love it. I just ordered the TCC solenoid from PTS and I wanted to know how long can I drive my car like this until the part gets here?

Thanks.

I'm no trans guru, but I'll give you my answer anyway.

I drove mine for at least 25,000 miles with the wires cut. No problem at all as far as I could tell. Just won't get as many mpg's out of it.

Finally, someone responded. Thanks for your reply. I've been driving it since I posted this question and it seems to have no ill effects. I have a 30000 gvw tranny cooler installed to keep the temp. down. I am waiting on the part still so when it arrives I will fix the problem.

I have another question. If I wire it for fourth gear lock-up only from Ray Buck's website, do I still need to plug in the electrical hook-up?

Thanks. I'll wait another week for someon to respond.
