Tcc ?

My converter in locking and unlocking on the highway, mostly unlocking. But will lock up if it flip the ash tray switch. What should i check?

check the lockup switch in the tranny just drop the pan and change it,its not hard ..

But if it locks up with the manual switch wouldnt it be something external, like a signal problem or pedal switch?

Yep, probably an external control. Also, by making it work with the switch, you rule out a power supply/brake switch problem since the 12 volt supply passes through the brake switch.

The TCC switching (ECM control & manual switch) is done on the ground side of the circuit. Do you have a Scanmaster or OTC scan tool? The OTC would actually be better since it indicates the TCC command from the ECM.

You want to be sure that you have a good VSS and TPS signal. If either of those is loopy, it could cause your problem.

DirectScan shows tcc, but my laptop went south. Does TurboLink show it? I guess i could borrow someone elses laptop who has DS.
