I'm going to start some more info on the "killer" TE-45a turbo...This info is great for everyone.... PLEASE list your COMPLETE COMBO being STREET / STRIP... Thank you, Scot w.

te-45a combo

Well i'll start it off with me running half race gas and half 93 and i'm set at 22lbs boost for the street with reg. street radials. so far with this street trim I went to the 1/8th mile track and went a 8:20 @ 90.26mph.. had a horrible 60' of 2.096  and a bad flareing trans. soon to be fixed.. between the frareing trans and the traction these times should be alot better.. will let everyone know as soon as I can.... Scot w.

the car in my sig, was at 26lbs. That was for the street and strip w/ 110 oct from sunoco.

26-27#'s I trapped 126.48 once.

On 23-24 #'s boost I usually trap 121-123 uncorrected at 5800 ft.

Using 116/118 octane race gas, Jay Carter chip w/ factory ECM.

Thanks for posting all your info.. it's nice to see what works for different people and there cars.. I guess the sweet spot for the TE-45a is between 28- 32lbs boost.. can't wait to get there.

At 24 psi I went 10.77, at 129 with my 45a. C-16 and 110 mixed.
The combo was M/A heads, ported intake, 218/218 cam, DeQuick front mount, 72lb injectors, 3500 stall Art Carr non lock up, and the Translator Plus and Extender chip. 3494lb car plus me. Wished I could have ran more boost that day. That is as much boost as I ever used, I hate headgasket changing!

When I had a TE45 on my old TSM combo the car would go consistent 10.50s at 130 MPH. This was with 27-28 PSI (26 deg of timing) leaving of the foot brake. 1.50-1.60 60 fts.

I've only been up to 20 lbs so far, on the street only, times coming when strip opens up. Was just starting tuning process when tranny let go. Louie L plus anybody else....with a proper tune and fuel what should I get in an 1/8 with 25-27 lbs boost? I'm shooting for mid 6's @ 102-104 mph.

Went 10:43 @ 129 1.57 60' 3800 stall, roller cam, big valves, 83lb inj. 116 race gas, 26lbs boost, te45a, and 1 HELL YES.

When I ran the 45-a I went 10.40s all weekend at BG in the 95+ degree heat. This was 28-29 psi with Champion Irons, 214/214 roller cam, Cotton FMIC, 72's, 3500+ lbs. 1.45 60's and 129-130 mph.

TTT, This is some great info for everyone guy's. keep up with the post's so we all can look and see what guy's are doing with these turbo's.. Thanks guy's, Scot w.

last track outing i ran 7.5@94 mph with a 1.8 60 foot with about 27 psi alky and 91 octane

stock long block, 72's thdp, closed hooker exhaust, powerstroke IC

I usually cut a 1.6, that was off the foot brake, 3400 stall pats converter.

I now have a trans brake so that 60 should improve considerably.

Sleeper T-Type

Te45A, 1/2 93 and 1/2 117 race gas, 22lbs of boost, Alky Injection, best time so far 11.09 at 125.6, on Drag slicks, cut a 1.54 60ft. Could only launch with 1lbs of boost, rear brakes would not hold at all. Got all that corrected and im going back to the track in april, hopefully I get deep into the 10's.

Testing

You guys still testing your set up's, please keep us posted on your results this thread has been helpfull to all..... Thank you!!! Scot w. :)

Local TR had stock unopened motor with 102K TE45a, THDP, FMIC, 3400 stall covertor and a chip I burnt with 26 degrees and ran 6.90 @100 with 30-31# of boost. 60 ft was a 1.42. He backed it up with a 6.95 @ 100 with a 1.48 60'.
