How much boost can you run out of a TE60 efficiently before its starts to blow to too much hot air??? I ran my car yesterday and it run a 11.39 @ 118 mph with 23 psi boost. Just wondering once I get bigger injectors how far I could crank it up to make more power. Im using the old TE60 turbo from Limit engineering with a .63 garrett exhaust housing with a Precision Stock Loc. I/C.

Can't say for positive as I'm using a TE44 and 42.5 delphi inj, which I think are similiar to 009's. but once you install the alcy I'd say you would have a sweet set-up. Maybe 25 lbs efficiently with little or zero knock. With traction you'd be getting closer to 10's. IMHO. I ran the combo in my sig last September at 20lbs of boost, decent traction, kinda warm out to 12.11. 113mph

not sure either but I would also like to know since i'm also using a 60. my best so far was a 11.49 at 119mph using 42.5 injectors and alky I was running way lean tho. Ive since swapped in some 50lbers but the car gremlins have kept me from going faster then a 11.80at 117mph if I make some better times i'll let you know also using a stretch stock location ic and basic bolt ons...
 
Once you get past 27psi, things start to heat up pretty good. I actually noticed this the last time I ran my combo at the track.
A good sweet spot for the TE-60 is 18 - 25psi.

that's a nice ET and mph for 23psi is this a unopened motor ? and how much timing are you runing ?
 
No the motor was rebuilt about 12,000 miles ago. Just a cam upgrade 210-205 flat tappet, freshend stock heads, stock intake, throttle body, etc. I don't know how much timing is in Reds 107 chip but I will look at the sticker and let you know.
 
my car has ran a best of 10.61 @125 @ 20lbs of boost with a 1.44 60 ft. I was told after 22lbs it starts to heat up.
