Just a WARNING!! to all who might feel like dealing with this guy.

I purchased this automobile part from Bruce off one of the Turbo Buick boards where you can list parts for sale. This part is a side marker light and was advertised as a NOS part for a Buick Grand National car. NOS means just that New Old Stock as it has been discontinued from GM for several years now. I receive the part and it has paint flaws, a black blemish spot in the amber lens and the edge is chipped. This part was packaged very well and the box it came in had NO damage so the part was defective when he sold it but made no mention of the defects and damage. I emailed Bruce right away and even took and sent him pictures of the defects and damage and all I got for a response was, how old it was, could of came from GM that way, why didn't I ask for pictures, Bla- Bla. All other emails have gone unanswered and ignored. An NOS part means just that New Old Stock. NOTa NOS part with defects and damage.I have filed a dispute with my paypal and we'll see what happens now. I want a complete refund from him of $170 and if and when I receive it I will gladly ship this part back to him at my exspense. Mike

I honestly can't believe these guys that pull this S--T. I should of known better with 24 posts?? I'm NOT DONE !!

Was the part still in its original GM wrapping? The reason I ask is that I just picked up an NOS set still sealed in original GM plastic and both sides have bad paint flaws that you couldn't notice through the packaging. Both lights will need to be sanded and repainted  Although I'm pizzed about it I realize that it is GM's fault and not the seller because the packaging wasn't opened so the seller could not have known.

I've also had the same problem with NOS wheel well trim  It has become apparent to me that NOS does not mean nice or flawless. In fact its probably the stuff that wasn't nice enough to go on the cars to begin with. I'm just gonna look for nice used stuff from now on.

Cartman,
Yes I know what you mean about defective nos parts in the unopened packages as Iv'e had LOTS of nos parts and have found factory deffects on wheel well moldings, dash plaques, steering wheel, marker lights, H/L bezels, horn caps and more. This was an original GM package but was opened as he even put bubble wrap around it, so I'm sure he knew about the defects and the chipped edge. He even stated in the one and only email I received back from him that he had purchased it from another member on this board and that's the way he got it. So I guess the only outstanding thing to do is say nothing about it and pass it on to the next guy.The price is not what bothers me it's knowing it and saying NOTHING about it and then when confronted with the issue just ignoring me.mad::mad:
I see him lurking around on here but he's in for a BIG surprise!!

Also Cartman, NOS means just that. NEW OLD STOCK NOT!! defective or damaged new old stock. I did learn along time ago to open all NEW parts, whether it be a item ready available or nos.

NOS means it should be in near perfect condition. Just another scumbag trying to pawn off a part he would have otherwise never been able to sell if he actually posted pics. He knew it was ****ed up when he sold it whick mean he's ****ed up.

I see this dickhead is still lurking around on here but too chicken s-it to take care of this issue like a man. Never did get ONE response back from him on this screwed up $170 marker light. Hope he post up some more parts for sale. I'll fix his AZZ.:mad:
