Tensioner Pulley Bearing?

Can this be replaced? Belt tension is fine, however, it squeaks. At least that's where I think it's coming from. I have already replaced the bearings in the Alt. Can I just unbolt it, is it standard threads or reverse?

And, if anyone knows the part number and where I can get one?

I did this many years ago. I'll have to look around to see if I can find the info on the bearing I used to replace the factory. I can't look at the car it was done to since I don't own it any longer.

i think it is the same bearing as the alternator. i may be mistaken.

The number is on the seal of the bearing. Any bearing supply house should have them. I have replaced a few of them just can't remember off hand what the number is. I can look when I get home from work.The bolt that holds it on is a standard right hand thread. It is on there pretty tight.

The bearing is a NTN 6203LUC3. A bearing supply house is the best place to get one.

make sure the spring is not getting weak and chattering. I had to run a shorter belt to fix mine till I found a new tensioner.

there is a post somewhere on here about finding a new tensioner complete...it has a link to i think it is napa online...they have aftermarket ones that are pretty much identical...i bought one for about 110 dollars for the whole assembly...only thing it needed is one of the three casing bolt holes needed enlarging...just drill press to make it a little bit bigger and its a perfect new replacement for the whole assembly.

The tension is good, no chatter, just something squeals like a stuck pig. The alt is good (Just replace the bearnings), so this seems like the next logical step. Should be less than $5.00.

I was quoted $16 for one for my alternator.

You can also buy replacement wheels with new bearings and bolt them on to get you up and running while you find the time to swap the bearing out at your leisure, or have it done at a shop.

The new pulleys are cheesy metal with no lip, or now they also have cheesier plastic versions like OEM's use now, but for losing some weight they might be a good idea for some people.

P6203-2RSJ - $3.29 Idler bearing and Alt bearing

The big Alt bearing is P6000-2RSJ also $3.29

I don't have to worry about getting it up and running, it's 1 degree F outside right now with over a foot of snow on the ground, few more inches today, few more Sat. Car is tucked away getting upgraded for spring

I have a nice little 12 ton press, I picked up at a Northern Hyd outlet store, it was under $60.00. Bearings are easy now.
