Honestly folks, how much power will a stock/ shift kitted TH400 hold up to? With the ever spiralling cost of components of my hybrid and the lack of a transmission to begin with I am leaning towards a TH400 atleast until I can afford a nice bulletproof TH200-4R. I know they will take significant amounts of power stock but how much is that exactly? Also I know I have detailed in the past what I think you need to run a TH400 with booste but let me check my notes with the real people here:
Mechanical modulator, I don't want full manual
Throttle switch for electric kickdown, car has it stock
Good torque converter, thinking 2800 stall no lockup
Big cooler
Am I missing anything?
How much for a 400hp level budget TH400C in short tailshaft from ya'll vendors? Please keep in mind that I have no core aswell right now and I'm probably going to camp out on my entire drivetrain out of my Riviera so no you can't have my nailhead ST400 though I might be tempted to use the converter if a ST400 isn't too bad.
