Hey guys,
after reading the threads about thrust bearing failure and the like, I am super paranoid about the 400 that will be going into the car shortly. the transmission DOES have DonWG and ChrisCKs converter charge feed orifice restriction done to it (Jimmy's transmissions is taking care of it)
What I am worried about now is the cooler to run with it. I saw in one of the threads about the failures that using a plate style cooler would increase the failure rate of the thrust bearing (from 95% to 99.9% if the transmission didn't have pump mods). Does this still apply to a transmission that has the reduced cooler line pressure?
I am looking at the B&M/Long Supercooler series as they are supposedly more efficient than any tube and fin cooler by a long shot. if I have to go to a tube and fin thats not a problem, I just would like to know people's input so I can keep the motor in 1 piece...
