what is all involved in putting the jw ultra bell bellhousing on a th400. do you just cut the old off and put the new jw ultra bell on? i have a th400 out of a 76 caddy but was thinking of putting one of these on anyway..TIA Bob

It bolts on top of the front pump.
You will need to cut the factory bellhousing off, just about flush with the front pump. It's been a few years since I've done one... But not a big deal...you'll get instructions with it.
You can mark it off with a magic marker and cut it pretty easy with a sawzall.
After it was all put together, I laid a nice bead of silicone caulk in the gap between the ultrabell and the case, just to give it a finished look.

Most important thing to remember is:

"Measure twice, cut once" :D

Quik question for Yulose, how much did you subtract for your driveshaft measurement, for the yoke depth. DId you bottom the yoke, and then subtracted 1"?

thanks yullose

i will probably buy it all from ck. i am trying to collect everything needed because i don't think my 200r4 has much more life. Going to the track this saturday night to see where i am with the 44. i am looking into bigger injectors and a 70gtq soon so i think the th400 will be a must have........thanks again...........Bob
