hay guys,

going home from our local car show ( tower shops ) i get on her and then back off, well about 2 miles later the car starts to backfire really bad :mad:  ,bad enough that i had to pull over, on the florida turnpike  , well i called a friend and my mechanic ( trubot231 ) and told him what was happening, he at first tried to help me over the phone, mind you i went south and he went way east, when he could'nt help me over the phone, without a second thought he said " dude i'll drop of my buick, get in the truck and head right out to you".

mind, you i was quite a bit away from him and i know he wanted to get home ( cause he's got things to do on saturday morning ) but he came out and within about 2 minutes ( not kidding 2 min  ) he figure'd out that my cam sensor went bad :( , he unpluged her and i made it home. Nothing really big to someone who knows about buicks. but if you don't know then your in trouble. i was thinking of how much the dam tow-truck was going to cost me, but my friend came thru for me. the guy turn'd around went a bunch of miles out of his way late at night just to make sure i got home. i guess what i'm trying to say is it's nice to have a buddy you can count on. i'm not sure if this is the right forum but i feel we should also post a thread when good things also happen.

THANKS, TURBOT231
