I would not use ups for ANY value shipping needs what so ever!
They do not stand behind there mishaps at all.

I think they ran over it with a fork lift.

Funny that looks like a washer :D

Dam Mark, you are scaring me. I have a 69 Road runner grille on ebay. Now I am afraid to ship it with UPS..

Ace Ventura Pet Detective opening scene flashes into mind.

That took some effort! Nice looking piece in the other picture though.

Some Boeing guys I knew once said:

"Hammer to fit, paint to match......"

really, no joke.

I had the same thing happen to a printer that I sent to someone.

Funny thing was, the guy claimed insurance on it and they sent it back to me in a box with no packing, and only tape on one end saying it was just as damaged when they recieved it.

$130 printer + $40 to ship (including $100 insurance)= $0 now

fedex is MUCH nicer to deal with, hell USPS is just as good.

BuickGn Boosted When i recieved your items they didn't look like that ;)

My experience with UPS has been great. I have shipped and received THOUSANDS of boxes through the years. almosr never have a problem. Most of the problems I have seen (90%) are due to crappy packaging. When they do make a mistake they have ALWAYS paid the claim. Their damage rate for us has been better than USPS or FedEx.

MY experience with UPS has been great also! This is the first time we've had something like this happen! I'm just amazed at how utterly messed up it is! I don't have enough vises & sledgehammer here at work to make one look like that!!??? It started out as a perfectly FLAT piece of anodized aluminum!!

Here's some better shots with my GOOD camera ;)
