THDP sticking puck

the puck is hard to move, is there a fix for it? The boost won't stop moving around from about 22-25lb. Took the arm off the gate and see the puck does not move freely.

I've taken one that was completely stuck, shot some penetrating lube on it and work it back and forth with a cresent wrench, hit it a few more times with lube kept working it till it was completely loose...if that doesn't work it will probably have to come apart and get reamed some.

just did this, seems to be fine now. I will go for a drive in a few.

just got back, worked great for a little bit. Checked it when i got back and it is sticking again. I will pull the pipe off and repair it.

Spraying the wastegate with pb blaster or whatever will only work for a bit as you said, usually a hot and cold cycle and it starts sticking again. My ATR downpipe did the same thing, I ordered a stainless wastegate replacement from RJC racing and fixed that problem.

I am pretty sure now, that this was a copy. Any way i just fixed it. Took the puck out and reamed the hole a bit, it has some slop now. Cost was about an hour of my time.

Cool, you will know if it fixed your problem when you take the car for a ride and get it hot and let it cool down again. Hopefully that fixed it for you tho.

just got back, it is nice and lose. Only thing is, i did not get it welded in the same position. I had to pull the wastegate arm a full 1/8" now it is only half a hole. I will try to get my boost back with the valve. If not i will buy a HD gate.
